چکیده

Abstract Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect administration Conners Continuous Performance Test (CPT-3) on cerebral blood flow (CBF) in children with ADHD. Methods: data for was derived from a large - database. Participants ADHD group (n = 1853, Mage 12.01) were similar those healthy control 38, 11.70). All participants assessed levels before and after CPT-3 administration. Results: Multiple 2-by-2 ANOVAs repeated measures conducted sphericity assumed. overall CBF significant right cingulate left sides frontal lobe occipital, parietal lobe, subcortical region. Post hoc analysis Bonferroni adjustment revealed that there statistically increase baseline following both groups. interaction between diagnosis not significant. Conclusions: individuals had higher CPT-3. Without an interaction, we can infer does change levels. This counterintuitive considering test sustained attention, common challenge These findings need be replicated.

A single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) study of regional cerebral blood flow in bipolar disorder.

Data on functional imaging of bipolar disorder (BD) utilizing single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) is limited. This study assessed regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF), using (99m)Tc-ECD SPECT, among patients with BD, with mania (N=10) or depression (N=10), compared with 10 patients with unipolar depression and 10 normal controls. Regions of interest were analysed using a semi-...

Abnormal cerebral blood flow in methamphetamine abusers assessed by brain perfusion single emission computed tomography

Introduction:Amphetamines are central nervous system (CNS) stimulant substances and amphetamine abuse is considered a growing problem in our country. Previous studies revealed destructive effects of amphetamines on metabolism, perfusion and structure of brain. The aim of current study was evaluating regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) disturbances in methamphetamine (MA) abuser...

Imaging of cerebral blood flow markers in Huntington's disease using single photon emission computed tomography.

Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging of six Huntington's disease patients revealed a striking reduction in regional uptake of cerebral blood flow markers in vivo. Similar changes were found in one patient with "early stage" disease. The findings are compared with parallel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies, and in one case, results of postmortem examination.

Monte Carlo Study of the Effect of Backscatter Materail Thickness on 99mTc Source Response in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography

Introduction SPECT projections are contaminated by scatter radiation, resulting in reduced image contrast and quantitative errors. Backscatter constitutes a major part of the scatter contamination in lower energy windows. The current study is an evaluation of the effect of backscatter material on FWHM and image quality investigated by Monte Carlo simulation. Materials and Methods SIMIND program...

Alterations of Regional Cerebral Blood Flow in Tinnitus Patients as Assessed Using Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography.

Tinnitus is the perception of phantom sound without an external auditory stimulus. Using neuroimaging techniques, such as positron emission tomography, electroencephalography, magnetoencephalography, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), many studies have demonstrated that abnormal functions of the central nervous system are closely associated with tinnitus. In our previous research...
